With spring coming up, why not plan a girls’ day to kick it off? Downton Dayton has multiple stops worth seeing to make it a fun-filled day. From starting with a delicious breakfast to ending the day with cocktails, here is a mini guide you can follow where each stop is within a short distance from each other.
Start the day off right with a delicious breakfast! Table 33, located at 130 W. Second St., is known for using locally sourced fresh ingredients in each dish as well as having gluten-free options. With breakfast served until 11 a.m. you can choose from an Early Riser (gluten-free with local cage free eggs) to the House breakfast sandwich. You also can enjoy a yummy cocktail with your breakfast!
For a shopping spree, it’s just an 11-minute walk from Table 33 to Grace Lane Boutique at 133 E. Fourth St. Owner Danielle Goodman created Grace Lane Boutique to inspire women with fashion. Here you will find different styles from sustainable brands and handmade accessories created by local residents. Not only can you shop clothing, but you also can buy healing oils by Thistle Farms, handcare items and even reusable straws.
After shopping, make your way over to 135 E. Second St. to enjoy an afternoon snack. Mudlick Tap House offers American comfort food such as fried chicken and pretzels with bier cheese. With an urban pub atmosphere, there is also a wide variety of beer on tap to experience along with different happy hour specials.
When the sun starts to go down make your way to RiverScape MetroPark for the perfect Instagram photo. At 237 E. Monument Ave, soak in the sunset with views of the Great Miami River and downtown. If you are lucky you may even hear live music from a concert being held in the park.
To top off the girls’ day, end at Bar Granada just on the other side of RiverScape MetroPark. Located at 5 W. Monument Ave., Granada is known for being a craft tequila bar as well as a music venue. You can choose from multiple house margaritas or enjoy different wines and beer inspired by the Spanish culture. There is even an outside patio with a view of the river where you can continue your mini photoshoot!
