Warmer weather means more outdoor dining! As spring continues to unfold, more restaurants around Dayton are starting to open their patios. Check out these five dining spots where you and your friends can kick back to relax.

El Meson, located at 903 E. Dixie Drive, will transport you to Central America. With its festive decorations and yummy cocktails, you won’t even feel like you are in Ohio! El Meson is known for its shareable tapas and housemade cheesecake. As you sit on the patio, there are heaters for the chilly days.

With an oasis patio, Lily’s Bistro at 329 E. Fifth St. is a place you won’t want to leave. Lily’s Bistro has three patios that are fully landscaped to give customers a relaxing experience, as if you are on vacation. Its menu consists of traditional southern dishes such as fried chicken and shrimp and grits as well as tropical specialties like bao buns and even vegetarian ramen. Each dish is designed to go with one of its tiki-inspired craft cocktails.

Continuing with a hidden garden patio theme, The Trolley Stop at 530 E. Fifth St. is a place you can sit back to read a book (which they can even provide!) and have lunch while still being in the city. The Trolley Stop, according to the website, “is a purveyor of Modern Ol’ Time Tavern Dining.” Each food dish is made from scratch with fresh ingredients such as free-range organic eggs, local grass-fed beef and more. Dishes the Trolley Stop is known for include delicious burgers and brunch specials on the weekends, including a Bloody Mary/Mimosa Bar!

For a more neighborhood gathering spot experience, Fifth Street Brewpub is for you! Located at 1600 E. Fifth St., Fifth Street Brewpub is in St. Anne’s Hill neighborhood and even brews its own beer (which you can also take home). While sitting on the patio, order one of the feature sandwiches made from scratch with all fresh ingredients.

Another great patio spot is the Dublin Pub located at 300 Wayne Ave. in Dayton’s Oregon District. With the classic pub atmosphere, you can enjoy a pint under an umbrella and people watching on the open patio.
