Pop-up coworking event offers unique remote work setting in a MetroPark

The Downtown Dayton Partnership and Five Rivers MetroParks invite office workers to join others by working outdoors at the first Downtown Coworking Day, which will be held under the pavilion at RiverScape MetroPark, 237 E. Monument Ave., Dayton, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, September 9. 

Downtown Coworking Day will transform RiverScape MetroPark into an outdoor coworking space complete with tables, chairs, wi-fi (thanks to AT&T for providing pop-up wi-fi), coffee and more. Friends and colleagues are invited to join in this outdoor work day to reconnect after a year of virtual meetings and remote everything. The day will close with a happy hour, a chance to network with other attendees and catch up with friends and colleagues. Attendees can come for a few hours or the full day, and are encouraged to bring their devices fully charged. Parking at the Water Street Garage will be included for all participants who register for the event. Downtown Coworking Day is an outcome of the Rediscover Downtown Dayton Action Plan, a strategy to address some of the top challenges and opportunities the pandemic presented. Downtown Coworking Day is part of the Return to Office strategy and will utilize the ample outdoor space available in downtown Dayton to create a safe coworking area for office workers, or those who are currently working from home and would like a change of scenery.
