Who doesn’t love a birthday party? Who doesn’t love them even more when they’re glammed up and customized to your ideal, Pinterest-style vision?
That’s where Glamp Troy comes in. “Glamp Troy customizes and personalizes individual tee-pee tents to fit the theme of your sleepover,” explains co-owner Kara Frantom. “We come to your house or venue of your choosing to set up the tents.”
The tents, which can be used for kids and adult parties, are perfect for birthdays and other fun celebrations, like bachelorette parties. There are a variety of themes available including boho, tie-dye, Taylor Swift, glow, football, camo, gaming, holidays like Christmas and New Years Eve, gold and mermaid. And, if you don’t see the theme you’re looking for, Frantom and her business partner Haley Copen will create it.
Frantom and Copen first met as labor and delivery nurses several years ago. Their friendship endured and they decided to venture into a business together when the duo saw a picture on social media of a friend’s birthday party and the idea was born. The business has since served as a creative outlet from their healthcare jobs.
Glamp Troy is unlike any other birthday party service offered in the northern Dayton area. “We do our best to customize each party to fit the theme and personality of each customer,” says Frantom. “Our mattresses are twin size and can hold up to 300 pounds, so the parties are great for kids and adults.”
Included in the service’s cost is the set-up and styling to your choice’s theme. “We come the following morning after your sleepover to clean everything up, so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the fun without having to worry about getting everything picked up and packed away the next day,” adds Frantom.
The cost of a Glamp Troy sleepover is all-inclusive for those living within a 20-mile radius of Troy. Anything outside of that distance includes a travel fee of $2 per mile.
Frantom said she and Copen are always thinking of ways to expand and evolve the business. Currently, said Frantom, they’re working on creating a summer theme, an all-pink party package and a whimsical theme.
