 Designed to Sell

This dynamic duo turned entrepreneurs want to help you design a home that will sell

The housing market might be booming but you can’t sell a house for top dollar without a little extra pizazz. That’s where The Home Staging Co., owned by Michelle Adams and Valerie Carroll, steps in.

“The Home Staging Co. is a local business that works to help sell properties faster and at a higher return on investment through staging, design and creativity,” explains Carroll. “We work with homeowners and realtors to turn their houses into every potential buyer’s dream home. We also work to utilize our creativity, design skills and a modern approach to transform the spaces in and outside of our clients’ homes.”

Carroll said that the duo has an “eye” for interior design thanks to their vision of home staging and interior design that goes beyond the norm of most staging companies. At The Home Staging Co., the goal is to create something different. “We love seeing a homeowner’s eyes light up at the transformations we’re able to create within a space,” she adds.

There are a variety of services available from The Home Staging Co., allowing you to find just what you need when it comes to getting your home ready for its next owner. Walk & Talks, also known as consultations, allow the team to go through your home and help you get a jump start on preparing it for the market. A Walk & Talk will give homeowners a room-by-room glance at what needs to be improved to get the house market-ready.

There’s also the Walk & Talk Plus, which is a service that includes the initial consultation plus three hours of re-design services. “We utilize the owners’ existing furniture and decor to edit the primary living spaces in order to maximize space and highlight key features,” Carroll said. “Homeowners can expect us to go about rearranging furniture, rehanging artwork, decluttering, removing furniture and rearranging decor. We both feel that this is the biggest bang for your buck and our favorite types of projects.”

If you have a vacant home you’re trying to sell, the team at the Home Staging Co. is there to help. They offer a carefully curated selection of inventory that takes the emptiness out of a property and allows potential buyers to see themselves living there. Those who are still living in their homes can opt for the Occupied Home Staging service, when the team brings in art and accessories to furnish rooms while still allowing the space to be livable.

Ultimately, what makes The Home Staging Co unique is its attention to detail. “We go above and beyond with the details for each room within a home by adding different layers and textures,” said Carroll. “Our design choices are selected, and a lot of times purchased, specifically for certain houses.”

The Home Staging Co. works with clients in Dayton and is focused on providing detail-rented solutions for all homeowners Carroll and Adams work with. “We’re looking forward to having the opportunity to explore our community and surrounding region by gaining new clients and helping them on their home ownership journey,” says Carroll.
