Canal Music Fest brings live music, local food and more to City Park on June 14

This Saturday, June 14, Tipp City welcomes music lovers and families of all ages to City Park for the 2025 Canal Music Fest, starting at 6 p.m. This free, outdoor concert, now in its 16th year, is a celebration of summer and music alike.

Curated by the Tipp City Area Arts Council, the Canal Music Fest began as a modest 200‑person gathering to what it is now: an annual event drawing 4,000 attendees each year. While the name honors its roots in Canal Lock Park, where the festival began, it now takes place each year in the City Park, to accommodate the growing crowds.

This year’s music lineup features Barracuda – America’s Heart Tribute, a Nashville-based band known for “monster vocals, stellar musicianship and dazzling live performances,” according to the Tipp City Arts Council. Also making an appearance will be Stranger, a local favorite known for their ’80s rock renditions.

Music begins at 6 p.m., but the park opens an hour earlier, with food and drink vendors opening at 5 p.m. Attendees can choose from a roster of local fare, including Bolasko’s Concessions, Buckeye Burgers, Charlie’s Chops, Kona Ice and newcomer Thai Village on Wheels.

The event will take place rain or shine and guests are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and their pets to the event. Coolers and backpacks aren’t allowed, and the venue is handicapped accessible.

Free, 6 p.m., N. 3rd Street and Parkwood Drive, Tipp City, Ohio 45371
