Plant parent preparation is available now 

Be immersed in the natural beauty of Cox Arboretum in Dayton. This park provides visitors a chance to find sanctuary among the trees, shrubs and other foliage on one of their trails. Visitors are given the option to explore the park on foot or by tram. 

Visitors are encouraged to explore the specialty and pollinator gardens, tree towers and the many other habitats in the 174-acre park. Visitors are also welcome to attend the educational activities focused on horticulture and conservation at The Barbara Cox Center for Sustainable Horticulture and the Zorniger Education Center.  

Additionally, the park hosts many nature-themed events in the city. Visitors can learn gardening tips at events like the Planting a Shade Garden lesson or the Hot Weather Gardening lesson available for registration this July. Visitors can enhance their photography and practice that skill with the guidance of Photographer Adam Alanzo at the park’s Picturing Beasts & Birds event. The Cox Arboretum has many options available for those looking to get their hands dirty in their pursuit of knowledge.
