The Miami Valley region is lighting up once again as the holiday season kicks off, with light displays, festive music and community celebrations drawing visitors from across the area. From historic mills to wooded trails, these displays are bringing the Christmas spirit to the area.
Woodland Lights
One of Dayton’s most beloved traditions, Woodland Lights transforms Countryside Park into a glowing winter trail. The half-mile wooded path twinkles with thousands of lights and animated displays for a festive, family-friendly atmosphere. Visitors can meet Santa, sip hot cocoa and stroll through the scenery.

Clifton Mill Lights
A true Ohio holiday icon, Clifton Mill draws crowds from across the state with its breathtaking display of more than four million lights. The historic mill, gorge and covered bridge are illuminated each night, with synchronized music shows and a 100-foot “waterfall” of lights. The nostalgic miniature village and Santa museum add a charming, old-fashioned touch.

A Carillon Christmas
History meets holiday cheer at Carillon Historical Park, where thousands of lights, vintage decorations and festive music create a timeless celebration. The park’s centerpiece, the 200-foot-tall “Tree of Light,” shines over the grounds. Guests can ride the carousel, explore historic buildings and enjoy treats from the bakery.

Holiday Lights at Lost Creek Reserve
