Whether you’re looking for something the whole family can enjoy or you want to keep your normal bedtime, there are plenty of local New Year’s Eve events that don’t require staying up until midnight. Here are six that are sure to entertain the whole family.
Harlem Globetroppers

Hueston Woods’ New Year’s Eve Celebration

Guests at the Hueston Woods Lodge & Conference Center can enjoy dinner, a party and a midnight buffet in an Ohio State Park.
New Year’s Celebration at the Boonshoft

Guests can dance in the Main Exhibit Hall, try treats from the museum’s new Eco Eatery and grab a drink during this event. The museum’s education staff and volunteers will be on hand to provide childcare throughout the evening, too.

The Dayton Ballet, Dayton Opera and Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra join together to end the year with a bang. During intermission, guests can enjoy a complimentary champagne toast, and the night ends with a balloon drop.
New Year’s Eve at Winterfest

Visitors can spend the last day of the year riding their favorite Kings Island attractions. In addition to the rides and Winterfest attractions, park goers can also enjoy two countdowns (one at 9:30 p.m. and one at midnight) and fireworks.
