With Easter approaching this Sunday, millions are gearing up for the essential egg hunts. With an estimated 180 million eggs purchased for Easter each year, according to Business Insider, there are plenty of opportunities for everyone to get out and hunt for some. Here are some Dayton-area egg hunts for children and adults alike.
Easter Egg Hunt at Historic South Park
Those with young children can head over to South Park Green in Dayton’s Historic South Park district for an Easter egg hunt built for children of all ages. Children aged 5 can search among trees and up and down the hill for their eggs. For the younglings 4 and under, there will be a flat space for their scavenging. Within the eggs, there will be wrapped candies while 30 special eggs contain “prize” notes that can be exchanged for toys at the Easter Prize Table.

Vandalia Easter Eggstravaganza
Families can come out for fun at Vandalia’s Easter Eggstravaganza at the Vandalia Sports Complex. The event includes egg hunts for children 12 and under, a baby goat petting zoo, face painting, games, food trucks, vendors and more. The hunts are scheduled for 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., with age groups ranging from toddlers to pre-teens.

Adult Easter Egg Hunt on the Range
Those looking to let their inner child loose can check out the 3rd Annual Adult Easter Egg Hunt on the Range at Long Shots Restaurant & Driving Range. Located in Troy, Ohio, this 21+ event features an egg hunt beginning at sundown, with high-value prizes hidden within the eggs. Tickets also include a beer or a glass of wine and live music by Jake Binegar. Participants are encouraged to bring flashlights to the event.

Young’s Easter Egg Hunt
Celebrate Easter Sunday out in Yellow Springs with the Young’s Jersey Dairy Egg Hunt. This year, instead of searching for real, dyed eggs, participants will search for plastic eggs filled with a special treat of a free ride on Cowtherine’s Carousel. The event is organized by age groups, with each group starting the hunt in 20-minute intervals.
