Carillon is welcoming the public back into its “festive atmosphere.” 

Following a brief closure earlier this year, Carillon Brewery in Carillon Historical Park is back. Having celebrated its grand reopening on March 19, the taproom is back to its daily service, welcoming the public into its “festive atmosphere,” the brewery said in a news release.  

Opening in 2014 as one of Dayton’s first microbreweries, Carillon is unique in its identity as a “living history museum.” As the only brewery and restaurant owned by a historical site in North America, the brewery combines beer-making with history. Visitors can witness traditional 19th-century brewing methods in action before enjoying their beer in a taproom inspired by English and German taprooms. 

Closing in early January, Carillon’s owners have unveiled their newly renovated facility in addition to a reworking of its food program. On tap, visitors can try several beers that expand beyond the everyday IPA or lager. Some of the pours that Carillon offers include an Irish red ale, a coriander ale, a Berliner weisse and more. Made in-house, Carillon mashes and mills its malt before fermentation. In addition to the traditional beer, a revamped menu is available to enjoy with your traditional beer. Enjoy classic beerhall foods like soft pretzels, smoked sausage, brisket and more. A full menu is available on the breweries website. 

Carillon Brewery is open Wednesday through Saturday 11 a.m. -9 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.- 7 p.m.
