Join in on this two-day celebration of African culture
The Dayton African American Cultural Festival will return to the city’s Riverscape Metro Park this weekend, August 16 and 17. There, guests can enjoy this family-friendly celebration of African American Culture with Dayton, Ohio. Festival goers will enjoy live performances from musical genres created and influenced by African American culture, such as jazz, hip hop, blues and more. Food vendors will be present in the Vendor Alley serving an assortment of tasty treats. As for the children, they are welcome to play in the Kids Korner, ensuring fun for the whole family. Other arts available for exploration will include paintings and illustrations, African drumming and storytelling in the African Village section.
Additionally, the African American Cultural Festival will also give celebrants a chance to discover their next read by spotlighting Black authors at the Black Author Pavilion. On Sunday, festivalgoers will be able to enjoy Gospel Fest and a lecture series available exclusively on Sunday.
