The annual Americana Festival has expanded its grounds and food and drink options

The Centerville-Washington Township Americana Festival is back, better than ever with an expanded festival, a new parade route and beer and hard seltzer sales. The festival will take place on July 4.

The new parade route, which has the parade traveling down Main Street instead of crossing it, will allow for a strategic pause where onlookers can enjoy a small performance. The festival grounds have also been changed to include west Franklin Street.

The menu has also been expanded to include more food options and for the first time, beer and hard seltzers will be sold. While there will be the usual fair food, like funnel cakes, there will also be food trucks featuring options such as smoked chicken and lobster.

In addition to all the food options, visitors can enjoy an auto show, a children’s game and activity area, and a fireworks show the night before on July 3 at the Centerville High School stadium.

“This year I think we will be a little bigger and better than at any point in the past, and we’re celebrating 50 years this year,” says Dave Paprocki, a volunteer and member of the publicity committee for the festival. “There’s truly something for everyone and we have live music going on all day, so it’s just a truly unique experience and it’s a great way for people to get together.”
