Support local women with one of these 6 events

With today being International Women’s Day, there’s no better time to celebrate and support the women of the Miami Valley. Many local organizations, nonprofits and even breweries want to help you do just that with an International Women’s Day event. We’ve found six events happening today and this month that will help you connect with and support local women. 

International Women’s Day Gathering 
Wednesday, March 8, 4-6 p.m. 
The Hub in the Dayton Arcade, 31 S. Main St., Dayton 

Network with other businesswomen and hear from local business leaders, like Candace Dalmange-Rouge, founder of Ceremony. Each participant receives a self-care gift to take home. After party will be held at Tender Mercy. Ticket required.  

Branch & Bone Artisan Ales International Women’s Day Event 
Wednesday, March 8, 4-10 p.m. 
Branch & Bone Artisan Ales, 905 Wayne Ave., Dayton 

Each year, the women of Branch & Bone Artisan Ales create a unique beer to celebrate the day. This year’s release is a Mixed Berry Pie Stout. $1 of full pours and four packs will be donated to the Artemis Center and there will also be a raffle to benefit the neighborhood’s Free Flow Box. 

Crooked Handle Celebrates International Women’s Day 
Wednesday, March 8, 4-10 p.m. 
Crooked Handle Brewing Co.’s Piqua (123 N. Main St.) and Springboro (760 N. Main St.) locations 

Dayton’s Girls Pint Out teamed up with Crooked Handle to create a Mimosa Lager to celebrate International Women’s Day. The beer goes on tap today. 

Star City International Women’s Day Tapping Party 
Wednesday, March 8, 4 p.m. 
Star City Brewing Company, 319 S. Second St., Miamisburg 

Star City is hosting a fundraiser for the Artemis Domestic Violence Center in Dayton on this International Women’s Day. This year’s release for the day is a Mexican Chocolate Stout and 10% of the wine and beer sales today will go to the center.  

Alematic Artisan Ales’ International Women’s Day Collaboration Beer Release  
Saturday, March 11, noon 
6182 Chambersburg, Huber Heights 

Alematic Artisan Ales teamed up with Anique Thomas of Esoteric Brewing to brew a custom Saison with Yuzu and Ginger called Tear Yuzu Apart. At the beer release, you can try the beer created to celebrate International Women’s Day and meet the women behind the beer. 

International Women’s Day Celebration 
Saturday, March 18, 2-5 p.m. 
Dayton Metro Library, 215 E. Third St., Dayton  

If you’re not able to celebrate today, Welcome Dayton is hosting a free, family-friendly event later in the month to celebrate the holiday. Attendees will be able to meet and share with women of other cultures and participate in activities like art, music, dance and more.
