Lunne Marketing Group has acquired a Columbus creative and marketing agency
Lunne Marketing Group, Inc., a Dayton- and Charlotte-based marketing firm, has acquired Columbus-based treetree—a creative and marketing agency focusing on special projects that was founded in 2009.
The combined agency’s expertise is driving growth for brands in the financial services, health care, retail and industry categories. Now, the company has 60 employees working in three vibrant offices in the Short North in Columbus, Webster Station in Dayton and FreeMoreWest in Charlotte.

“Together, our team’s strategic intensity and creative firepower place us in a stronger-than-ever position to serve clients in this dynamic business climate,” says LMG president Douglas Lunne. “We’ve seen significant client enthusiasm for our consistent delivery of marketing expertise, ease of experience and timely execution, and are excited to share this with our new clients.”
The company will operate under the LMG and treetree names until it rebrands in mid-2024, and will continue to serve clients including Synchrony, Nationwide, CoverMyMeds, OhioHealth, Cardinal Health, Battelle, CareCredit, JobsOhio, Advanced Drainage Systems and Crown. Lunne will serve as president of the combined firm.
“It’s an exciting time for us as we build on the value delivered to clients by treetree and LMG for the past two decades, bringing even more capacity and capabilities to our already full-service offerings,” says Becca Apfelstadt, co-founder and CEO of treetree, who will stay on as growth adviser to the new entity.
Lunne Marketing Group (LMG) was founded in 2004 with a promise of “creative intelligence,” the combination of strategy and creativity that makes marketing more effective by better reaching audiences and achieving business results. Since then, the agency has brought this unique offering to clients throughout the country.
