These three unique dessert spots in Dayton will help keep your summer sweet

Offering a distinctive take on traditional summer sweets, ranging from nostalgic drinks to 24-hour donuts and locally inspired pastries, these three shops are sure to fulfill any sweet tooth you may have this summer.  

Bill’s Donut Shop 

[subhed][Text Wrapping Break]A Centerville staple since 1960, Bill’s Donut Shop is open 24 hours and known for its large selection of cake, yeast and filled donuts. In the decades since its opening, the shop has been named one of the best donut shops by publications like Business Insider and USA Today, among others. Favorites at Bill’s include peanut butter-filled long johns, blueberry cake donuts and pretzel yeast donuts.

Jubie’s Creamery 

[subhed][Text Wrapping Break]With locations in Fairborn and Troy, Jubie’s features hand-dipped and soft-serve ice cream with weekly rotating flavors. “Our menu is designed to fulfill even the wildest of ice cream dreams with a variety of crowd favorites,” the shop says on its website. These wildest dreams are addressed in items like lemon blackberry cheesecake ice cream flavor or in their ice cream flights and cookie sandwiches.

The Rootbeer Stande 

[subhed][Text Wrapping Break]This classic Dayton drive-in serves root beer made in-house, available in floats, freezes and by the gallon. Beyond the beverages, the restaurant offers a full grill menu, but the dessert drinks are the star of the show, especially during the summer months.
