3 local restaurants are serving up their own Fish Frys this Lenten season
Fish fry season is upon us and there is no shortage of meatless dining options in the Miami Valley. While the church fish fry is a time-honored tradition, what if someone in your family doesn’t eat seafood? Or if you want to try something new? That’s where our local restaurant scene comes into play. Many restaurants have added special items for those wanting to avoid meat while still serving their regular menu. We found three restaurants for people wanting to dine out this Lent.
Frisch’s
Multiple locations
Lenten Fridays
While a stacked fish sandwich has been added as a regular menu item during Lent, on Fridays, those who visit a Frisch’s can enjoy the Seafood Bar. The Seafood Bar features fish, shrimp, soup, salad and dessert.
Golden Lamb
27 S. Broadway, Lebanon
Lenten Fridays
Diners can find special Lenten menu items at Golden Lamb starting at 11:30 a.m. on Fridays. The menu includes clam chowder, lump crabcakes, fried or baked cod, and a salmon and ricotta ravioli.
The Golf Club at Yankee Trace
1000 Yankee St., Centerville
Fridays through April 7
You can dine in or order carryout if you want to try The Golf Club at Yankee Trace’s fish fry. Those who dine-in must make a reservation before noon on the day they wish to dine, but they’ll be able to enjoy all-you-can-eat cod, fried, hush puppies, biscuits and coleslaw.
