Dayton’s craft beer scene has never been more hopping—or more hoppy.

It’s a bad week to be a beer. Craft breweries are celebrating Craft Beer Week from May 15-21 nationwide, and there’s no better excuse to celebrate Dayton’s own craft beer scene. To get you started, here are three of the newest releases from the Miami Valley’s buzziest breweries. 

Warped Wing Brewing Company — Ermal’s Hefeweizen 

Since 2014, Warped Wing has celebrated the legacy of Ermal Fraze—the Daytonian who invented the pull-tab can—with its flagship Ermal’s Belgian Style Cream Ale. The latest entry in the Ermal’s series reinvents the beer as a hefeweizen with notes of banana and clove. The 5% ABV German-style wheat beer is a perfect way to welcome the summer—especially for beer drinkers who prefer a lighter, fruitier beer.  

Nowhere in Particular — Loose Change 

The Nowhere in Particular Cabinet of Curiosities in Kettering is a “hobo brewery,” proud to “never brew the same beer twice.” Their latest local creation is a Belgian Malt IPA called Loose Change, a hoppy 6% brew with notes of citrus.  

Fifth Street Brewpub — AlliBerry Blonde 

Co-op brewery Fifth Street Brewpub announced the arrival of this blonde ale on social media earlier this week. Black raspberries grown in the Oregon District give the ale a beautiful dark pink color. (The brewery also just got all-new patio furniture, so it’s a great time to stop by and enjoy the warm weather with a beer.)
