This life coach helps you get to where you want to be in life with the help of changing your mindset
Rachel Murphy has enjoyed helping others for as long as she can remember. She previously owned a full-service wedding planning business for about a decade, where she worked with couples and their families.
“Weddings can be fairly intense and bring up some just-beneath-the-surface family tensions,” she explains. “I was often helping couples through some of these challenges and wanted to learn how I could support them, and myself, better.”
That’s when Murphy pivoted into life coaching. She enrolled in a life coach certification program and fell in love with it, closing up shop on the wedding business and going into coaching full-time. Today, she is the owner of the life coaching business, Mindsettings.
Murphy says when she learned about mindset work and personal development, she knew that was the direction she wanted to go. “I kept thinking about how technology comes with factory settings,” she says. “Often, people forget that they can go into their phone settings and customize everything to create a user experience that works for them.”
Murphy works with clients to emphasize that they don’t have to accept what we’ve been told to think and believe about what we’re capable of. “We can get in there and create the life we want,” she adds. “As a coach, I help people remember they can play around with their mindset to get better results.”
Coaching packages available from Mindsettings include an 8-week or 6-month package, which includes weekly 1:1 coaching. She is available to help individuals and couples who feel overwhelmed by the constant demands of life and business to help them feel in control of their futures.
Murphy meets with clients virtually, using a framework she’s built to help them see results. She also credits her ever-expanding toolbox to meeting clients where they are in life. “With training in the Enneagram, mindset work and life coaching, and previous experience with everything from team building, art education and energy work, I have a wide range of approaches I use to help guide my clients toward the growth and goals they seek,” she says.
