Power2give makes it easy to donate to a nonprofit.
By Martine Collier
This year, donors to Dayton area nonprofits made it possible for community members with disabilities to attend healing art classes without worrying about transportation costs, gave the next generation of conservationists access to real-world work experience alongside professional biologists, provided for a historic home to get a new look and so much more.
Power2give.org is an online fundraising platform that makes it easy for you to find and support the nonprofit projects you care about most. Brought to the Dayton region by Culture Works in March 2014—with generous support from the CareSource Foundation, the Dayton Power & Light Foundation and the Montgomery County Arts and Cultural District—Power2give raised $120,000 for almost 40 nonprofit projects in its first three months. Of the nearly 600 individual donations, nearly 35 percent came from first-time donors to the organizations.
The platform allows you to support your favorite nonprofit or discover a new one. New projects are being posted all the time and donating through Power2give is easy. Find your passion, choose your project and start giving. Thanks to corporate sponsors matching funding, your gift goes even further.
Want to give even more? Share gift cards with friends and family, and put the power of giving in their hands. You give. Others receive. Everyone benefits.
This holiday season, what possibilities will you create for your community?
