There’s something special about buying a home in Dayton.

Natasha Baker

No Place Like Home

For most of us, the biggest and most significant purchase we will make in our lives is our home. It is the base of our family, our security and our stability. Whether you live in a downtown condo, a ranch in one of the suburbs or way out by my family’s farm in Waynesville, Dayton and the Miami Valley is your home.

No matter how long you’ve been in Dayton, you have probably heard that our community is recognized as an affordable place to live, but what does that really mean? Be sure to see our special section on housing in the Dayton area by Danny Restivo.

In this issue, you will also find our guide to fall events and activities and a special feature on one-tank trips for a quick getaway. Don’t miss our special feature on how the Oakwood Safety Department keeps their residents safe.

You will also find profiles on area business professionals including Wright State University President Dave Hopkins and local entrepreneur and advocate London Coe.

We hope you enjoy this issue as much as we have enjoyed putting it together for you. Let us know what you think by sending an email or following us on Twitter and Facebook. Have a great fall!
