The Ashford of Beavercreek offering affordable independent living, memory care
The newest Wallick Community coming to Dayton already has garnered a lot of buzz prior to its slated opening later this year. The $18 million Ashford of Beavercreek development, which will be located at 3865 Overlook Drive in Beavercreek, will welcome up to 120 residents. Adults needing specialized care can choose from 22 private and semi-private memory care suites. The other 82 independent and assisted-living units offer one- or two-bedrooms.
“The Park Overlook site is located in the heart of Beavercreek with shopping, dining, entertainment and hospitals all within a few minutes’ drive,” says Executive Director Matt Loges. “The Ashford of Beavercreek compliments adjoining senior focused communities by offering assisted living and memory care services and completing the continuum of care, allowing the senior residents of Beavercreek and surrounding areas to stay close to home near family and friends.”
The project will create up to 51 full time jobs when fully occupied. Staff will include 24/7 licensed nursing support in both emergency and non-emergency situations, as well as the availability of on-site visits from nurse practitioners and physicians. Each resident will receive a personalized care plan that will include on-site physical therapy and exercise classes.
Amenities at Ashford will include an art studio, fitness center, outdoor courtyard and special offerings for some residents. “Our Memory Care will feature the cutting-edge iN2L system for dementia-specific interactions/activities/one-on-one and group activities,” Loges says.
Typical activities for residents will include bingo, shopping trips, card games, and arts and crafts. “We are looking to build a relationship with Wright State University for additional activities such as WSU theater groups, jazz bands and other ensembles to perform at the community,” he says. “We are also looking for local businesses and vendors to partner with for wine and beer tastings, trips to the Air Force Museum and other local events. We believe these social opportunities not only encourage residents to become more engaged in their new setting, they instill a sense of belonging and emotional well-being.”
Wallick’s all-inclusive pricing helps ensure families can anticipate regular expenses for senior care and remain committed to affordability. After two years of private pay, The Ashford accepts Medicaid Waiver from residents who have run out of financial resources so that they can continue to receive quality care.
