Get out and celebrate in Dayton with Pride events all weekend long

Even though June is almost over, there are still plenty of opportunities to celebrate Pride Month in Dayton. We’ve rounded up some of the biggest Pride events in the Dayton area this weekend. 

Friday, June 23 

The Fairborn Phoenix Theater will host a Pride Night. The Friday event is open to everyone 18 and older and will include a drag show, drinks and food trucks. Tickets are on sale for $10.   

Saturday, June 24 

Springfield will host its annual pride celebration Saturday. For the fifth year in a row, the Ohio Chapter of Free Mom Hugs will be in attendance. The organization offers support for the LGBTQIA+ community by attending Pride events and embracing participants in visibility and solidarity.   

Also Saturday, the Yellow Springs Pride Festival is set to return on the block of Mills Lawn Elementary School. Festivities begin at 11 a.m. and continue throughout the day. The parade begins at 12 p.m. and runs until 2 p.m., after which participants will be officially welcomed by the Village of Yellow Springs. Live entertainment and food vendors follow until 7 p.m. Vendors include B’s Kozmic Tie Dyes, Wallflower Bakery, Femme Artisans and M.A.D. creates, among many others.   

Sunday, June 25 

The Dayton Art Institute will host a free community day celebrating LGBTQIA+ artists represented in its collections. Featured exhibitions include Washi Transformed: New Expressions in Japanese Paper, Reflections in Time: Dayton Unit NAACP Celebrates History, Born of Fire: Contemporary Japanese Women Ceramic Artists, and Pondering the Mystery of Late Life.
