Farmers markets to visit around the city this season

With May officially here, the warmer weather is beginning to settle across the area. As such, farmers market season is back across the Dayton region. From historic markets to neighborhood pop-ups, here are five worth making a stop at. 

2nd Street Market  

The region’s flagship year-round market remains the most popular draw. Located in a historic freight house, it features local farmers, bakers, coffee vendors and rotating food stalls.  

Centerville Farmers’ Market 

A Wednesday evening favorite in the heart of Centerville, this market blends farm stands with prepared foods and live music. It’s ideal for midweek grocery runs and casual dinners outdoors. 

Oakwood Farmers’ Market 

A smaller but nonetheless well-curated Saturday market, Oakwood focuses on local produce, flowers and artisanal goods. 

Vandalia Farmers Market 

Running seasonally, Vandalia’s market is a community-focused stop with fresh produce, baked goods and family-friendly programming.  

Springboro Farmers Market 

Just south of the city, Springboro’s market is one of the larger suburban options, featuring a wide mix of farms, specialty food  and seasonal vendors, making it ideal for variety in one stop.
